Hi i lost a stone in weight 2 years ago and have a method to keep the weight off and maintain it. My issue is i have a layer of fat over my tummy that i cannot shift. I can feel quite hard solid muscle underneath. Do you have any advice on how to burn this off please?
I follow a strict plant based diet, i also intermittent fast 6 days a week with a re-feed one day a week i have maintained this for over two years and love it. TIA
Fat issue ...
Intermittent fasting burns out your adrenals releasing adrenaline /cortisol which is cleaned up by the liver, this toxic substance as you may know makes our bodies more toxic. Weight is related to the liver & the more you fast the more you will release cortisol causing further weight issues. Information from the medical medium books & his website. https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/intermittent-fasting-the-downfall https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/intermittent-fasting-what-you-dont-know
Medical Medium is a well-known fraud. Even if some info is right, I wouldn't lead people to him.
Hi Tia,
First, congratulations on all the progress you’ve made and on maintaining your weight so consistently—that’s a huge achievement! I’d be glad to offer some insights to help you tackle that stubborn belly fat.
Given that you already follow a plant-based diet and incorporate intermittent fasting, which are both fantastic for overall health, it sounds like you’re on the right path. For that last layer of fat, I often recommend a balanced combination of muscle-focused resistance training and fast paced walking daily. While you can’t “spot reduce” fat, strengthening your core and increasing your overall muscle density will help shift your body composition, and combined with some metabolism-boosting cardio (which we do in this program, this can help burn off that last bit of fat.
